It's not Thanksgiving yet but I keep on being thankful...

Isabella reading this morning
Speaking of keep being thankful, today I am so thankful that our youngest daughter has gotten the passion for reading that her daddy, big sister and I  have in common.
I am so thankful that instead watching TV, Isabella would rather seat on her chair and ready books. I cant believe that she read an over two hundred pages books 3 times!!! For some reason, she got in love with the series of book "Diary of a wimpy kid" LOL She says it is really funny. Yesterday she got the second book of the series. She cant put it down, she pauses during breakfast to read a chapter or another. Isn't it cool?
Isabella and her Godmother
When only Isabella and I are at home, it doesn't matter if it is day or night, the TV is something that both of us don't really care about. We are both seizing our time, not wasting... We are travelling to different places in our imagination, we are finding out so many things we didn't know..
Isabella dancing Ballet
The fun part of it is that we have never insisted her to do some reading, of course we have told her it is a good habit. I think that it is something that in her veins.
Isabella as a Brownie
We, just like many of  other parents thought it would be cool if Isabella did ballet, sports, etc. So, she tried ballet for four years, we thought she liked it but, she wasn't too happy when we would say, "ballet class today" This year though, she said she loved her teachers, her friends and that she would miss them all but, she didn't want to do ballet anymore. We had tried before taking her to play soccer since it is something that I, as a Brazilian, love to play. Isabella poor thing, was lazy just like Ronaldinho (ex Brazilian Soccer team player) She would just hang around the goal area waiting for somebody to kick her the ball and she would kick it to the goal.
Other times, she would just hold hands with her friends during the game and forget they were  playing LOL. We learned that is definitely something Isabella didn't get from me LOL
I guess if we trust our kids and let them choose what they want to do, they will find out their way. Isabella, has discovered her passion for reading, singing and creating stories, adventures all by herself. I guess she got the artistic genes from her parents. We both love Arts.

The funny things was the other day at the store, she was browsing the book session while  Brian and I looked for a new coffee maker since ours had just gone bad.  When we came back, she pointed us that the book she has been reading, it is in the YOUNG ADULT Session. She says: - Young adult... They must be kidding, I have read this book three times already and I am 7! LOL
Isabella Zip linning
Isabella has learned by herself, the love for Animal, adventures, Girls Scouts, sewing, inventing and even got interested about religion. That is something that amazes me the most. I was raised Christian and had always gone to the church with my parents until we moved to the USA. For some reason here, I got a little bit distant from the church but I have always kept GOD, that is the most important thing, close to my heart. Isabella nowadays, has been going every Sunday to the Awana (I hope I am not misspelling) with her little friend Lydia. There they have been learning all about God and the bible. We make sure that we never forget to drive her to this very important appointment.
I was so ashamed  once when she was small and I was tucking her in, I told her: - Isabella, let pray to Jesus so that He will give us a good night of sleep and thank Him for this day. She turned to me and  asked: - WHO IS THIS GUY????? OMG I couldn't help but laugh so bad... afterwards thought, I felt ashamed.
Today I am thankful first of all, for the GIFT OF LIFE, being able to wake up for another brand new day and a new chance to make it right AND I am thankful that our little girl has discovered her love for READING.
Let's be thankful for everything kids. LIFE IS AMAZING.

SMILE! God has planned a week full of great surprises for us :)))))))))

Halloween First Birthday Dress made from scratch this weekend
The weekend is almost over..
I can tell we had a wonderful one. Isabella had some "grandma time" she spent the night at grandma's and went to the church with her. Brian and I had some quality time together and some time spent with friends.
I  beteween all the cleaning and fun, I have gotten a First Birthday Dress made from scratch. There is nothing that relaxes me more than working on my little dresses. You have no idea how a wonderful therapy it is for the soul. :)
Ohhhhh Cant forget to say that our plants got some water as well. We had some rain and I thank Lord for that. Our tree look so much happier :)
What is your plan for the new week ? My plan it to make no plans at all. Play it by ear, live one day at a time. I have realized that when we plan something, it never happens as we planned but sometimes, like this weekend for example, it turns to be a great one without any plans at all.
I have an idea about what is going to be waiting for me is God gives the  gift of living through one more week, Some stuff, I look forward to and others not so much but I will take it. As long as we are healthy, there is nothing we can face it if we ttrust that God will be with us.
Ok, Isabella just got in my room and she  is reading what I am typing, so she says that I should post on my diary like this, she is telling me this right now:
I should work as hard as I can to get all of my stuff done so that I can spend more time with her. She says I work too much and I have not spent a lot of time with her...
Ok She is gone now LOL, That little stinker, made sure I typed what she told me to. LOL
You all have a wonderful week ahead and dont forget to wear your best outfit everyday... YES, you best outfit is a SMILE,  yes, a smile never goes out of style... :))) Try it right now, SMILE very BIG :)))) With your soul and heart. SMILE! God has planned a week full of great surprises for us :))))))))) Let's be thankful for what we have and God bless our new week ahead!!!

Just stopping by to say Hello :)

Hello :)

I've been so busy with so many things going on that I haven't stop by to say "Hi" and let you know how things are at #My First Birthday Dress place.

Life has been pretty hectic lately.. I no longer have my helper. Debbie, just like me has her own dream and also wants to have her own Embroidery Business a success. I thought I would let her go I can be her friend and Mentor only. I think my place is to small for two ladies trying to get around this table, plus, you know, I am Brazilian and like the hot weather, Debbie is American and wants the cool air. Too many differences LOL. I have realized that while I am working out of my own home, I cant have helpers. I like my privacy too much, I like doing whatever I feel like doing, plus many other stuff.

Well, at least I tried and now I can tell for sure that I am not ready yet...

Today has been a good and busy day at Embroidea, got a lot of embroideries done and I even found a time to take a nap during my lunch time lol,  the beauty of working from home :))

Amelia and her Mommie

Today, more dresses went out to Virginia and I got to see the little face of Amelia who wore one of my First Birthday dresses on her special day! How cool is that? :) I love when my mommies send me pictures of their little ones :)) I pray that our Lord protect every little kids in this world. So many sad things going on lately. The tornadoes in Oklahoma was a catastrophe, God bless and be with all those people who lost their loved ones. Houses, cars, personal belongings we can get another one but they will never get back the loved ones they lost... My prayers and thoughts are with them..

Well kids... It's getting pretty late here... Tomorrow will be another day and a much better one :)

Have a great evening :)

God bless

Embroidea Custom Embroidery First Employee :)))

Welcome to Embroidea Custom Embroidery Debbie!
It finally happened today, I hired my first employee and she did Wonderful on her first day :) Her name is Debbie and I knew her before. Met Debbie once when we went through the drive through at Taco bell. She saw the Embroidea sticker on my car and asked if I did embroidery. She sounded so excited and friendly  We exchanged business card and became friends. I have been trying to help her build her own embroidery business but poor thing is having a hard time finding Customers, so, I asked her if she would like to work for me. She was so happy about it. She has learned a lot today and she will keep on learning. I know that someday, just like I did one, Debbie will take off and take care of her own business but, I am going to enjoy her company while she is working with me. And I will always be there to help her whenever she needs me...
I was so nervous in the morning. It might sound silly to you but for me, and old lady who treats her machines like babies, take care very well of them, I never thought I could stand seeing another person around my machines...  LOL So silly, I know, but I did good, I got more relaxed as the day went on and I feel much better right now. Everything is just fine...
I feel like I have taken another big step towards my dreams and all I ask God for is to give me patience, and wisdom to deal with all the changes that  are going to happen from now on.
My First Birthday dresses are selling like crazy and I feel so thankful that all this good things have been happening to me. God knows what is in my heart and mind and I trust that at the right time a big door is going to open for me and that will be the answer to my prayers. God has a plan for me, that I know for sure and  I feel like I can understand better what I came in this world for. He has given me many talents and I wont disappoint him.
I wanted to share this wonderful news with you my friends and Customers...I DID IT!!!!! :))))
Hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day! I surely had a good one.
God bless
